What you will do

• Execute and analyze fermentation experiments across mini, benchtop, and pilot-scale bioreactors.
• Perform downstream processing, including lysis, clarification, recovery, and routine sample handling.
• Document experimental work and process data accurately according to applicable procedures.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment and bioprocess issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members.
• Provide laboratory support through equipment upkeep, supply stocking, maintenance, and safety actions.
• Support laboratory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field, with 0–3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and general bioprocess controls.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting automated bioprocess equipment, including bioreactors, tangential flow filtration systems, and homogenizers.
• Understanding of analytical technologies for biomass measurement, metabolite analysis, and off-gas analysis.
• Ability to follow SOPs, escalate process or equipment issues, and maintain strong documentation and problem-solving standards.
• Commitment to rigorous safety, quality, and compliance practices.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ambr250, bench-scale, or pilot-scale bioreactors.
• Familiarity with downstream unit operations and basic protein purification.
• Experience with design of experiments, data analysis, data visualization, and process scale-up or scale-down.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as cGMP biomanufacturing.
