Assoc Scientist, Product Biochemistry

Location: On-site in Tarrytown, New York, United States; full-time standard business hours with laboratory presence required. Minimal to no travel.

Salary: $70,300–$110,100 annually.

What you will do

• Purify, characterize, modify, and conjugate protein and biomolecule reagents using established laboratory procedures.
• Evaluate reagent identity, purity, stability, aggregation, binding properties, and fitness for intended use.
• Perform reagent labeling and modification activities supporting assay development, method qualification, and reagent supply.
• Conduct binding characterization studies using Surface Plasmon Resonance and other analytical platforms.
• Document experiments and results in the electronic laboratory notebook and prepare reports, presentations, and project updates.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation while contributing to safety and equipment maintenance practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, computer, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects.
• Ability to work on-site in the Tarrytown laboratory during standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Technical proficiency with automated FPLC or HPLC, including SEC, IEX, or affinity workflows.
• Experience with electrophoresis, spectroscopy, and light scattering.
• Understanding of protein structure and function, protein-protein interactions, and general biochemistry.
• Biopharmaceutical industry experience.
