Director of Financial Reporting

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP, including consolidation across legal entities, business units, and international operations.
• Prepare reporting packages for the CFO, Board, private equity sponsor, lenders, and other stakeholders, connecting financial results with business performance drivers.
• Serve as the primary resource for complex and emerging accounting matters, technical memos, accounting policies, and new accounting standard implementation.
• Modernize financial systems and data integration across source systems, the general ledger, consolidation tools, and management reporting.
• Lead external audit activities, resolve audit questions, strengthen internal controls, and support financial diligence requests.
• Lead, coach, and develop the financial reporting and technical accounting team while advising the CFO and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, with a strong public accounting background.
• Deep U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research experience in a large, complex, multi-entity organization.
• Experience managing external audits with senior audit partners and technical specialists.
• Experience with financial systems implementations and process improvement; SAP and OneStream experience is beneficial.
• Proven ability to lead teams and communicate complex accounting and systems matters to senior, nontechnical stakeholders.

• Private-equity-backed experience.
• Background in multi-location, hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or retail businesses.
• Experience using AI to automate processes and incorporate it into finance workflows.
