Manager, Data Platforms

Location: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week at the St. Louis, Missouri corporate office

Salary: $101,500–$131,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for designing, building, enhancing, and administering enterprise data platforms.
• Shape the strategic direction of the data platform ecosystem supporting analytics, reporting, and business operations.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Operations teams to deliver cloud-based platform capabilities.
• Drive engineering best practices, automation, continuous improvement, platform governance, and lifecycle management.
• Improve platform scalability, performance, reliability, usability, and security.
• Mentor team members and foster collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or related technical roles.
• At least two years of experience leading technical teams or enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on experience building and administering cloud-based data platforms in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, or similar modern data platform technologies.
• Experience with platform design, configuration, administration, automation using Infrastructure as Code, and modern deployment practices.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future work authorization sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/DataOps practices.
• Knowledge of data platform security, governance, access controls, cloud cost optimization, and FinOps.
• Experience leading platform modernization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
