Data Platform Manager II (Snowflake)

Location: Hybrid work model with regular in-office presence required at the Minneapolis, MN office, United States

Annual salary: $133,800–$170,000, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Help define and execute the data strategy with the Data & AI Solutions Director and Solution Architect.
• Plan, manage, and support data platform technologies, integrations, and operational processes.
• Lead continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, metrics, logging, tracing, and other observability practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through solution design and code reviews while maintaining engineering and security standards.
• Manage incidents and technical problems affecting data pipelines and infrastructure, including preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
• Lead a team of data engineers, coordinate with enterprise stakeholders, and manage project budgets and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, pipeline development, and data infrastructure architecture.
• At least 3 years of experience managing data platform projects and teams, including performance monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake.
• Experience with data integration and middleware tools such as Informatica, APIs, and queuing systems.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of related experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Certifications in data management, analytics, governance, or security, such as CDMP or CISSP.
• Experience with data governance, cataloging, and data quality tools such as Atlan or Alation.
• Experience leading AI-driven or agentic transformation and evolving team operating models.
• Experience in retail or supply chain technology solutions.
