Senior Product Manager - Search (AI)

Location: United States — remote, or Omaha, Nebraska — hybrid

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Define the Search product direction and own the roadmap for retrieval, ranking, and personalization.
• Lead the transition from keyword search to LLM-powered search across structured and unstructured project data.
• Build algorithmic feedback loops that use customer search behavior and result evaluations to improve ranking.
• Design evaluations and experiments to measure search quality, click-through rate, match quality, adoption, retention, and revenue impact.
• Partner with engineering and data science on data aggregation, model development, production serving, RAG, and ranking strategies.
• Communicate model performance and technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a technical background in computer science, engineering, or a related field is helpful.
• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of search, recommendations, personalization, relevance/ranking, or ad-tech systems.
• Experience designing model evaluations and improving search or relevance metrics.
• Experience building algorithmic feedback loops and connecting product metrics to adoption, retention, and revenue.
• Familiarity with retrieval and ranking approaches, including RAG and model-based search, plus strong algorithmic and systems thinking.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with engineering and data science on technical trade-offs.

Nice to have

• B2B SaaS experience.
• Experience in B2C search, recommendations, or personalization.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
