What you will do

  • Support winding and cell assembly processes for cylindrical battery manufacturing.
  • Analyze and optimize production processes for performance, safety, and quality.
  • Improve the design of process machinery and develop manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Monitor and audit processes to ensure product specifications and standards are achieved.
  • Support product transitions from concept through complete implementation.
  • Implement and support industrial automation while validating and improving processes with the assigned team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, machine design, or industrial automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, equivalent experience, or demonstrated exceptional ability; a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong 3D CAD design and drafting skills, preferably with SolidWorks and simulation software.
  • Experience with process development and improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, BOMs, manufacturability, process validation, assembly methods, quality control, design reviews, and cost reduction.
  • Ability to identify critical process parameters, apply statistics to process measurement and control, and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Working-level English required, including reading, writing, and speaking. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction.

Nice to have

  • Japanese language skills.
  • Industrial data analysis or MES experience.
  • Experience with precision machining, precision sheet metal, thermoplastics, or large assemblies.
  • PLM, PDM, or ERP experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
