People Partner, Engineering (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $255,000–$310,000 USD

What you will do

• Advise and coach senior leaders, executives, managers, and employees across Product and Engineering.
• Support employee lifecycle matters, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and compensation in partnership with specialist teams.
• Partner with technical leaders on organizational design, team scaling, talent development, and career progression frameworks.
• Develop scalable HR policies, programs, and systems for a rapidly growing technology organization.
• Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and leadership on cross-functional initiatives such as manager training.

Requirements

• Experience working in HR at a fast-growing technology company or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Fluency with employment law and HR best practices in North America.
• Experience partnering with technical organizations and understanding Product, Engineering, or Infrastructure teams.
• At least 6 years of experience in HRBP, People Operations, Employee Relations, Recruiting, or a closely related function.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Strong confidential employee support, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and process-scaling skills.

• Experience at an AI/ML company or supporting teams building cutting-edge technology products.
• Understanding of technical career ladders, engineering culture, and the challenges of scaling technical organizations.
• Curiosity about artificial intelligence and its potential applications.
