Head of Commercial/Business Banking Sales, Lending & Credit Technology (Fintech)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; relocation to Buffalo is required for this hybrid role.

Salary: $201,200–$335,300 annual USD.

What you will do

• Define and execute the technology roadmap for Commercial and Business Banking Sales, Lending, and Credit platforms.
• Lead multiple engineering teams building, integrating, modernizing, and supporting critical banking platforms.
• Deliver sales enablement, lending origination, underwriting, decisioning, credit workflow, onboarding, servicing, data, and integration capabilities.
• Drive cloud-enabled modernization, workflow automation, straight-through processing, digital capabilities, and AI-enabled delivery practices.
• Oversee delivery timelines, budgets, priorities, resources, reliability, resiliency, incident management, and service continuity.
• Manage strategic vendors, product lifecycles, governance, regulatory controls, risk mitigation, and relationships with business, risk, audit, compliance, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of combined higher education and work experience, including 4 years in engineering or architecture and 11 years in large technology management or program leadership.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience leading technical teams and senior technology leaders.
• Deep experience with Commercial or Business Banking technology, especially sales, lending, credit, origination, underwriting, decisioning, servicing, and workflow platforms.
• Experience delivering complex multi-system initiatives, large-scale modernization or infrastructure transformation, and solutions using Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, architecture, integration patterns, enterprise delivery practices, and matrixed stakeholder leadership.
• Must relocate to Buffalo, New York and work in a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Lending, or Credit.
• Experience with cloud, APIs, microservices, DevOps, platform modernization, data center migration, or hosting transformation.
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
