Software Development Manager - Clearing or Banking (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at an Axos office in Edison, NJ; San Diego, CA; Irvine, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Centennial, CA; Overland Park, KS; or Omaha, NE. Remote and hybrid work are not available.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, plus eligible annual discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 10% each.

What you will do

• Lead one or more local or near-shore software development teams.
• Build new capabilities and enhance existing products in the Axos Core Settlement System.
• Define enterprise functional and non-functional requirements with IT leadership.
• Design and prototype secure, high-performance enterprise solutions with continuous integration and unit and integration testing.
• Monitor development activity, costs, quality, client requirements, infrastructure, and resource support; deliver plans and reports to senior management.
• Improve development capabilities, coordinate product launches, and maintain alignment with company goals, security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience designing interactive web applications, web services, and vendor API integrations.
• 10+ years of experience managing or leading technical resources and working with geographically dispersed teams.
• Professional experience with clearing applications is required.
• Proficiency with .NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, MVC, Angular, TypeScript, jQuery, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, and Swagger Docs.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, object-oriented programming, design patterns, communication, and workload management.
