Lead Financial Analyst, Valuations & Pricing Analysis (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. Office environment with occasional travel of less than 10%.

Salary: $97,000–$116,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Extract and analyze financial data from accounting and information systems to assess performance and project financial results.
• Support monthly accounting processes and maintain accurate, complete financial records within the internal control framework.
• Develop financial reports and complex models for forecasting, trending, valuation, and results analysis.
• Support the Valuation Manager in establishing a new valuation function within the investment reporting department.
• Value derivatives and oversee junior staff involved in pricing derivative positions.
• Improve reporting processes, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with business, technology, and offshore support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a degree.
• Advanced computer skills and a strong understanding of accounting and financial analysis concepts.
• Knowledge of invested assets, investment accounting, insurance products, or premiums.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, communication, and judgment skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while handling multiple projects.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience mentoring, training, motivating, and providing direction to staff.
