EHS Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT); onsite work in shop and manufacturing facilities

What you will do

• Administer the EHS program on the floor under the direction of the EHS Manager and serve as the primary interface with production personnel.
• Conduct daily shop walkthroughs, safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, safety meetings, and required training.
• Promote hazard identification and mitigation through behavior-based safety programs, observation cards, trend analysis, and the SAFE Way program.
• Work with supervisors and leads to develop JSAs and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist with incident management and EHS reports.
• Monitor OSHA standards, regulations, and proposed changes to support continued EHS program compliance.

Requirements

• At least two years of supervisory experience leading and coaching employees.
• Experience leading safety meetings and working with OSHA Standards CFR 1910 for general industry.
• High school diploma or GED and completion of OSHA 511 training or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good command of written and verbal English is required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop, stand for up to 10 hours per day and up to six days per week, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds; safety glasses and steel-toe boots are required.

• Experience writing and teaching JSAs.
• Experience leading and developing training programs.
• Experience recognizing and mitigating hazards in shop and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to recommend improvements to EHS program performance based on floor observations and experience.
