Production Supervisor 2nd Shift Synthetics (Manufacturing)

Location: Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite production role requiring U.S. Person status for authorized access to ITAR-controlled data.

What you will do

• Plan and manage daily operations for assigned manufacturing departments, including staffing levels, direct and contract labor, and budget accountability.
• Ensure production safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
• Train and reinforce workforce skills required to produce quality products according to company and customer requirements.
• Lead communication and collaboration across shifts, departments, and organizational levels while supporting operators.
• Analyze department metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles, SPC, and DMAIC.
• Guide compliance with standard work and recommend improvements to work instructions, methods, processes, policies, and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of manufacturing experience, including experience leading or directing the work of others.
• Ideally three years of direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, metric-driven analysis, and problem-solving skills required.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship, U.S. nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylum status.

Nice to have

• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with high-performance work teams and root-cause analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree.
