What you will do

• Manage production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees while managing performance and accountability.
• Manage department costs, profitability, inventory, records, and operational reports.
• Resolve production, quality, equipment, and process issues and communicate expectations to employees and management.
• Lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives, including 5S, TPM, machine audits, LOTO, JDA, and JSA activities.
• Support material movement with a forklift when required and follow hazardous-material procedures when assigned to the Treating Department.

Requirements

• Post-high-school education.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and 1–3 years of people-management experience.
• Strong communication, organization, presentation, and employee-training skills.
• Knowledge of the Precise Plant Quality Program, quality requirements, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and standard work instructions.
• Technical knowledge of machinery and equipment, including machine training, documentation, and cooperation with maintenance staff.
• Successful completion of the forklift-driver licensing process.

Nice to have

• Experience with Inside UFPI, Citrix, and UFP policy resources.
• Experience with employee reviews, advancement planning, and safety committee participation.
