Estimator (Electrical Construction)

Location: Surrey, Canada; onsite work in a company-designated office or field location

Salary: CAD $100,000 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

Western Pacific Enterprises, a subsidiary of hirify.global, provides large-scale electrical construction services across western Canada, including commercial and industrial, substation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy projects.

What you will do

• Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Coordinate with project management, purchasing, construction personnel, customers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare bills of material, perform field take-offs, and evaluate constructability requirements.
• Review project documents for accuracy and consistency and participate in estimate reviews.
• Support cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle and prepare and submit change orders.
• Close estimating loops after project completion, including invoicing and cost tracking.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of current local and Canadian Electrical Code requirements.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans, specifications, blueprints, and proposals.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
