Actuarial Analyst (AI)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (hybrid); the position is listed for locations in the United States.

Salary: $75,000–$107,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential annual performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Build and maintain rate indication tools for insurance pricing and actuarial reporting.
• Assist with state filing materials.
• Create frameworks and dashboards to monitor, analyze, and report on historical performance.
• Conduct analyses, generate insights, and translate findings into strategic and tactical recommendations.
• Collaborate with insurance product management and filings teams to take pricing action and drive profitable growth.
• Contribute to the actuarial community and promote best practices while progressing through the Casualty Actuarial Societies’ accreditation process.

Requirements

• BA/BS in actuarial science, statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least one year of actuarial experience or internship experience, or completion of at least two CAS examinations, excluding UEC credit.
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and SQL.
• Experience with AI tools and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguous or strategic business challenges.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with R or Python.
• Background in small business insurance or general liability insurance.
