Summer 2027 Intern - L/H Actuarial - Actuarial Analyst I

Location: Hybrid in Bloomington, Illinois or Richardson, Texas; minimum two days per week in the office. Interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the full internship.

Pay: $30 per hour, plus $1 per hour for each actuarial exam passed, and a $2,000 stipend.

What you will do

• Assess risk and financial needs for life and health insurance products.
• Develop innovative methods and applications to improve insurance product pricing.
• Research company trends, emerging industry developments, and relevant topics.
• Provide analytical solutions while developing technical and business skills through training, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

Requirements

• Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student throughout the internship.
• Major in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, information management, or another analytical field.
• Minimum 3.25 GPA required; 3.5 GPA preferred.
• Experience with data and statistical analysis using Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python.
• Intend to earn the ASA/FSA designation and have successfully completed at least one Society of Actuaries exam.
• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.
