TL;DR
Health Information Supervisor (Healthcare Data Operations): Leading and developing health information staff, maintaining workflow and productivity, and ensuring accurate, HIPAA-compliant medical-record processes with an accent on client service, training, quality assurance, and escalations. Focus on coordinating audit and risk-management requests, resolving complex client issues, and improving operational processes across locations.

Location: Onsite at one location in Vancouver, Washington; Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm PST

Salary: $23.05–$29.42 USD per hour

What you will do

  • Lead, train, motivate, and develop health information staff while managing workflow and productivity.
  • Maintain quality assurance and compliance with established guidelines for clients and service delivery teams.
  • Lead the audit team handling requests from payors and manage requests from client risk management teams.
  • Review data, provide solutions, and coordinate with clients and leadership on complex issues.
  • Oversee escalated calls from centralized call centers and support client locations with fluctuating operational needs.
  • Participate in project teams and committees focused on operational strategies and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of health information-related experience.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of leadership, customer service, data entry, and release of information/HIM experience.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA standards and accurate, detail-oriented handling of medical-record information.
  • Ability to present to leadership, clients, and staff by video or in person.
  • Experience using Power BI and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work onsite in Vancouver, Washington during PST business hours.

Nice to have

  • EMR experience with EPIC or Cerner.
  • Production or metric-based work experience.
  • Team-building experience and a record of helping individuals advance their careers.
