Hybrid Release of Information Specialist II (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid role based at a hirify.global client site in East Setauket, NY, USA

Salary: $18–$21 per hour

What you will do

• Process medical release of information requests accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and manage request data using hirify.global software applications.
• Organize medical records, forms, and authorizations to complete the release process.
• Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, and by email according to location requirements.
• Attend required training and support the effective operation of the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of medical records experience.
• 2+ years of clerical or office work experience.
• Experience using desktop computers, scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Healthcare setting experience and knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to protected health information are preferred.
