AI Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work between home and the office based on business and Client needs

Salary: CAD 65,000–105,000 per year, plus eligible incentive plans.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI solutions with the Enterprise Architect in line with the platform capabilities roadmap.
• Research and pilot emerging GenAI technologies, practices, and cloud capabilities.
• Develop and deploy scalable AI solutions and automation workflows for validated, high-impact business use cases.
• Create and maintain technical designs covering application functionality, solution architecture, data models, interfaces, and integrations.
• Enhance DevOps practices and tools to improve automation, enforce software guardrails, and reduce development cost and risk.
• Provide post-production support, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement for deployed applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Practical experience with Python, AWS Lambda, Java, and APIs.
• Experience developing AI bots or agents, with familiarity with chatbot concepts, RAG techniques, and vector databases.
• Experience with DevOps culture, tools, and best practices in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills; willingness to mentor junior team members.
