Mechanical Engineer - CREO Expertise (Aerospace)

Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the United States; the position may require onsite presence at customer or manufacturing facilities, and some travel may be required. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain necessary facility access credentials.

Salary: $120,000–$149,000/year for Mechanical Design Engineer 2; $150,000–$170,000/year for Mechanical Design Engineer 3.

What you will do

• Develop complete 3D and 2D models for spacecraft vehicles, systems, and subsystems using CREO.
• Create engineering drawings in .CATDrawing and .drw formats according to program standards.
• Prepare models and drawings for peer review and final approval.
• Incorporate review feedback and manage drawing revisions.
• Work with engineering teams and program stakeholders to deliver compliant design documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–8 years of engineering design or drafting experience in aerospace, defense, or a related industry.
• Proficiency in CREO for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
• Experience producing engineering drawings in .drw format.
• Ability to develop and document engineering requirements.
• Must be a US Green Card holder or US Citizen and able to obtain required facility access credentials.

Nice to have

• Experience with NASA, commercial space, DoD space, or other space and launch vehicle customers.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience with Windchill PLM.
• Familiarity with design reviews and requirements management frameworks.
• Experience in an ITAR-controlled environment.
