Solutions Architect

Location: Boxborough, Massachusetts, United States; willingness and ability to travel as required.

Salary: $83,400–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead early-stage customer engagement and translate stated and unstated requirements into technical problem statements and solution objectives.
• Create end-to-end conceptual architectures, defining system performance targets, interfaces, customization needs, and technical tradeoffs.
• Design experiments, analyses, and test setups to validate solution concepts and reduce technical and commercial risk.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, software, and controls engineering efforts while providing architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Transition conceptual architectures into prototype-ready designs and ensure effective technical handoff to execution teams.
• Communicate validation results and performance data to customers and collaborate with program management, operations, procurement, and test teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or complex technical product development.
• Ability to translate customer needs into system-level technical solutions and lead cross-functional technical efforts.
• Experience with customer-facing technical work, prototyping, validation testing, and technical risk mitigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical tradeoff evaluation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and collaborate across engineering, commercial, and operations teams.
