What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and buildings.
• Assist with repairs to woodworking machinery, material-handling systems, hand tools, forklifts, and building equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical control systems, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, limit switches, and VFDs.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings while using multimeters, clamp meters, and voltage testers.
• Order required parts and supplies, maintain repair records, and prepare reports.
• Follow safety, lockout/tagout, hazardous-material handling, housekeeping, and continuous-improvement procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of machine repair or maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including three-phase, single-phase, and 24VDC control circuits.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, as well as welding.
• Ability to troubleshoot power distribution, control circuits, and machine electrical faults with minimal supervision.
• Must be at least 18 years old and understand applicable safety rules, laws, and hazardous-material handling procedures.
