What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests, material modifications, renewals, and restructurings from deal screening through approval and the life of the loan.
• Monitor commercial loan portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, appraisals, due diligence, industry research, market trends, and peer data.
• Prepare cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, financial models, and risk ratings.
• Recommend transaction structures and credit mitigants across company, base-case, and downside scenarios.
• Partner with relationship managers, attend client calls, present credit analyses, and support credit committee discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus at least 4 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, or financial statement analysis.
• Alternatively, 8 years of combined higher education and work experience, including at least 4 years in commercial credit or related financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, financial ratios, trend analysis, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with legal documents and structural elements of credit transactions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lead transaction execution teams, and maintain high accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
