TL;DR
Localization Quality Assurance (Spanish LATAM) (Video Games): Testing mobile, PC, and console game titles by identifying linguistic, visual, contextual, and cultural issues in Spanish LATAM with an accent on localized text, images, and voice-over components. Focus on reporting and resolving translation errors, following terminology guidelines, cross-checking issues across languages, and escalating problems to the Test Lead.

Location: Montreal, Canada; onsite at the Montreal offices

Salary: 17 CAD per hour

What you will do

  • Test video game titles on iOS, Android, PC, and console platforms.
  • Verify text, images, and voice-over components in Spanish (LATAM).
  • Identify translation, contextual, cultural, visual, and other linguistic issues.
  • Report defects clearly in a bug-tracking database or translation document.
  • Suggest resolutions and follow terminology guidelines to improve localized content.
  • Cross-check issues with multilingual QA testers and report or escalate problems to the Test Lead.

Requirements

  • Native-level Spanish (LATAM) proficiency is required.
  • Existing eligibility to work in Canada is required.
  • Professional competency in English.
  • Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices and knowledge of their terminology.
  • Passion for video games and impeccable attention to detail.
