Localization Quality Assurance (Japanese)

Location: On-site at offices in Montreal, Canada; on-call basis

Starting salary: 17 CAD/hour

Company

Provides localization quality assurance and testing services for video game titles.

What you will do

• Test video game titles on iOS, Android, PC, and console platforms.
• Verify localized text, images, and voice-over components in Japanese.
• Identify translation, contextual, cultural, visual, and linguistic issues.
• Report defects clearly in a bug-tracking database or translation document.
• Suggest resolutions and improvements for linguistic and translated content.
• Follow terminology guidelines, cross-check issues with other languages, and escalate problems to the Test Lead.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese competency required.
• Existing eligibility to work in Canada required.
• Professional competency in English.
• Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices, including knowledge of platform terminology.
• Passion for video games and impeccable attention to detail.
