Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

Location: Richmond, Virginia; based at the hirify.global Home Office with onsite work required 4 days per week

Salary: $127,500–$204,000 annually, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, SEC filings, earnings releases, and annual proxy statements.
• Review financial schedules, analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Research technical accounting issues, interpret accounting pronouncements, and support accounting policy and disclosure updates.
• Provide financial reporting and SEC compliance guidance to senior and executive management and cross-functional partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports through feedback, development plans, and business objectives.
• Support external audits, quarterly audit reviews, SOX 404 testing, and financial reporting process documentation.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Accounting and/or Finance and a current Certified Public Accountant license.
• Seven or more years of relevant accounting experience, including five or more years in public accounting and/or corporate financial reporting with significant SEC reporting exposure.
• Three or more years of experience leading, supervising, and developing teams.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, XBRL, financial statements, notes, MD&A, and supplementary disclosures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Workiva; previous project management experience.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience with XBRL taxonomy and financial statement and note tagging.
