Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Washington, DC, United States; on-site role

Annual salary: $125,000–$150,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and filing of 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K SEC reports.
• Coordinate input from Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, Finance, and operating companies.
• Research new accounting standards and SEC disclosure requirements and support their adoption.
• Review operating-company financial performance and communicate results in external and internal reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
• Improve reporting workflows, efficiency, and accuracy using the hirify.global Business System.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of directly related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
• Experience researching technical accounting matters and preparing disclosures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in a large organization.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with Workiva/Wdesk, OneStream, or similar SEC reporting and ERP/consolidation systems.
• Big Four accounting firm experience.
