Sr. Engineer - Packaging Execution (Remote with travel)

Location: Corp-Offsite - Diamond Bar, California; remote work with required travel. Onsite commissioning and qualification activities are required, with 75%–100% travel.

Salary: $97,188.14–$138,493.10 yearly

What you will do

• Coordinate the execution and commercialization of innovative primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions.
• Commission, qualify, and validate packaging designs through trials and experiments for beverage and core product launches.
• Support packaging fill processes including cold fill, hot fill, CSD, HAA, and LAA.
• Manage multiple projects and collaborate with Product Engineering, Project Management, Packaging Quality, and Program Management.
• Collect, analyze, and present testing data to support project decisions.
• Diagnose manufacturing and design challenges, communicate trial results, and transfer packaging best practices across departments.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in packaging, engineering, or manufacturing and 4 years of experience in the position or a related role.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, or a related field.
• Knowledge of injection molding, blow molding, filling, capping, labeling, packing, palletizing, and beverage manufacturing processes.
• Experience with commissioning and qualification, root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, project planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
• Willingness to perform onsite commissioning and travel 75%–100%.

Nice to have

• 6 years of packaging or related engineering/manufacturing experience and 4 years of people or project management experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, or a related field.
• PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or CPP certification.
• Experience with TOPS or CAPE packaging software.
• Elementary proficiency in Spanish, French, or German.
