MSAT Packaging Exp. Engineer (Packaging Engineering)

Location: Onsite/hybrid in Titusville, Raritan, or Gurabo, United States; preference for North America. Minimum 20% travel is required.

What you will do

• Provide packaging engineering support for new product launches, technical transfers, lifecycle management, and packaging site operations.
• Lead physical and simulated distribution testing, temperature-control and cold-chain qualification, and shipping route verification.
• Support packaging line trials, equipment and material qualification, product protection studies, child-resistant packaging, human factors, and patient-centric design.
• Investigate packaging quality and compliance issues through equipment assessment, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Design and develop secondary and tertiary packages, improve equipment and process efficiency, and deliver cost-improvement initiatives.
• Drive packaging technology implementation, validation, sustainability initiatives, and project cost and schedule control.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering or an equivalent technical or engineering discipline.
• At least six years of related experience in packaging, labeling, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with secondary and tertiary packaging materials and designs.
• Knowledge of passive shipping solutions and packaging distribution or transportation testing for cold-chain and non-cold-chain products.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Knowledge of cGMP and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience validating and qualifying packaging equipment, materials, and processes.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, biologics, medical device, or other regulated-product environments.
• Project Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, FPX, or Kepner Tregoe certification.
• Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary partners in a complex global matrix organization.
• Fluency in additional languages.
