Senior Business Development Associate (Ocean Consolidations)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States

Base salary: $79,200–$99,000 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive new business and expand existing North America accounts across LCL and buyers consolidation services.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting through pricing, bidding, presentations, and closing.
• Develop sales collateral, client messaging, product placement in bids, and long-term pricing strategies.
• Partner with APAC product and operations teams to build scalable processes that improve service quality, consistency, and pricing.
• Improve the sales playbook, identify process gaps, and increase deal velocity.
• Track pipeline, bookings, and volume growth while resolving client issues and identifying cross-sell opportunities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development.
• Working knowledge of LCL, buyers consolidation, or ocean freight forwarding.
• Demonstrated success hitting and exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and present to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with product and operations teams across time zones, including APAC.
• Independent, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
