Contracts Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own the customer contract lifecycle, including NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, AI data-processing addendums, BAAs, amendments, and security exhibits.
• Review, redline, negotiate, and close agreements from first draft through signature, escalating genuinely novel issues to outside counsel.
• Build contracting infrastructure, including playbooks, fallback positions, template libraries, and escalation guidelines.
• Manage the vendor lifecycle from intake and due diligence through tiering, approval, renewal, and termination.
• Run data subject requests and subpoena or legal-request intake, while tracking contractual notification commitments related to products and AI data changes.
• Support compliance operations through Drata and KnowBe4, policy administration, attestations, and periodic access reviews.

Requirements

• 3+ years of in-house commercial contract ownership, including independent redlining and closing of NDAs, DPAs, and MSAs.
• Strong organization and attention to detail when tracking redlines, obligations, and renewal dates.
• Ability to interpret complex contract language, including conflicting personal-data definitions in DPAs.
• Experience working closely with attorneys or a demonstrated interest in legal operations; a JD or bar admission is not required.
• Current or developing use of AI for contract review, questionnaire drafting, clause comparison, or obligation tracking.
• Clear, concise communication with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and outside counsel.
