TL;DR
Legal Operations Role (AI Infrastructure): Building and owning the legal operating system for a fast-growing AI infrastructure company with an accent on commercial contracting, workflow design, and scalable legal processes. Focus on automating high-volume legal work, handling data rights and usage restrictions, and making sound escalation and outside-counsel decisions.
Location: On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area or Singapore. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available for strong candidates.

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end legal workflow, including intake, prioritization, contracting, approvals, escalation paths, document management, and outside-counsel coordination.
- Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, data licenses, SLAs, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
- Build contract templates and negotiation playbooks covering data rights, usage restrictions, and recurring commercial issues.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline high-volume legal workflows using software and AI.
- Establish decision rules for internal handling, standardization, automation, and escalation.
- Manage outside counsel by scoping work, controlling spend, and reserving external support for specialist matters.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations, contracts management, commercial operations, transactional legal work, or a combination in a fast-growing technology company.
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial technology agreements.
- Experience with data licensing, IP-intensive transactions, marketplaces, or products where contractual rights are closely tied to the offering.
- Experience designing legal workflows, intake systems, document management processes, and approval frameworks.
- Comfort with legal technology, workflow automation tools, and AI.
- Strong commercial judgment and experience managing outside-counsel relationships, including scope, spend, and escalation decisions.
