Senior Workday Integration Engineer (Workday)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% remote

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and external systems.
• Build integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, BIRTs, REST/SOAP APIs, and Workday Web Services.
• Partner with functional, payroll, security, downstream system, and vendor teams to clarify requirements.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and root-cause analysis across Workday tenants.
• Ensure integrations meet security, data privacy, compliance, change-control, and release-management standards.
• Provide technical guidance as a senior individual contributor and potentially supervise staff.

Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with Workday integration technologies, data sources, business objects, calculated fields, and security concepts.
• Experience delivering and supporting production Workday integrations, including real-time and scheduled integrations.
• Knowledge of XML, JSON, flat files, SFTP, integration testing, negative testing, and regression testing.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in enterprise integration or a Workday technical role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills.
