Manager – Technical & Integration Lead (Workday Financials)

Location: United States; primarily remote with occasional travel to client sites and Alpha offices

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD annually, plus a variable bonus

What you will do

• Lead discovery workshops and document technical requirements, integration dependencies, security needs, non-functional requirements, and system constraints.
• Define integration strategies and create architecture diagrams, interface inventories, system context diagrams, and end-to-end data flows.
• Own technical delivery plans across the design, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization of Workday integrations.
• Design and develop complex integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and Workday Extend where applicable.
• Build scalable data pipelines connecting Workday with treasury, investment accounting, payroll, banking, data warehouse, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Establish standards for error handling, reconciliation, XML/XSLT transformations, security, authentication, monitoring, performance tuning, documentation, and technical governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical Workday implementation experience, including leadership of technical workstreams.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration security.
• Strong capabilities in XSLT, XML, APIs, error handling, reconciliation, and data transformation.
• Experience producing technical architecture diagrams, integration specifications, technical documentation, and end-to-end data flows.
• Active Workday Creating and Securing Integrations, Workday Studio, and Workday Reporting certifications.
• Must be based in the United States; occasional travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating Workday with investment subledgers, treasury systems, payroll providers, banking platforms, data warehouses, and reporting tools.
• Workday Extend certification or substantive Workday Extend project experience.
• Experience with AI-enabled delivery approaches and financial services technology trends.
