What you will do
- Contribute to the development of Comet XL and Comet Mini deployable structures.
- Design and develop spacecraft hardware using CAD in NX.
- Build and test hardware, including electromechanical systems and soft goods.
- Take ownership of complex engineering challenges while collaborating with the broader engineering team.
- Complete an assigned project with tangible impact under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.
Requirements
- Must be available for a fully on-site internship in Los Angeles, California.
- Expected to graduate in Spring or Fall 2027.
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree.
- Extensive experience with CAD, specifically NX.
- Prior hands-on experience building hardware, especially electromechanical systems and soft goods.
- Part-time interns must be available for at least 20 hours per week during standard business hours; full-time interns must be available for 40 hours per week during the 12-week program.
