Associate Clinical Consultant or Clinical Consultant (Heart Recovery)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States; territory includes Hartford, Connecticut. Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory and availability for emergent patient-care call are required.

Base pay: $100,000–$125,000 annually, based on experience and education.

What you will do

• Demonstrate the value and appropriate use of the Impella product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff.
• Advise interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and medical staff on patient selection, device applications, and implants.
• Deliver clinical demonstrations, ongoing training, and education for new and existing customer accounts.
• Collect clinically relevant data, complete outcome reviews, and communicate activities with sales counterparts and other team members.
• Support awareness programs, physician meetings, staff dinner programs, and commercial activities across the franchise.
• Advance the sales process and help improve patient outcomes through clinical and commercial collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct RN, NP, PA, or registered technologist patient-support experience in an ICU, CVICU, cath lab, or cardiovascular operating room.
• For the Clinical Consultant level, at least 2 years of commercial sales experience with cardiovascular products and technologies.
• Experience delivering demonstrations and successful clinical training.
• Ability to advance the sales process, collaborate in a team environment, and advocate with physicians.
• Availability to take call for emergent patient care and travel up to 50% within the territory.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with state and federal medical-device laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Impella support or Abiomed per diem experience.
• RN license and ECMO experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and additional clinical training experience.
