What you will do

• Lead the transition from traditional data pipelines to event-driven, agentic systems handling millions of unstructured documents.
• Architect high-utility platform tools that solve real-world problems for Product Engineers.
• Accelerate the entire software development lifecycle (from testing to deployment) using AI and agentic tools.
• Partner with the CTO and EVP of Product and Technology to align technical strategy with business outcomes.
• Drive the "1 to 10" scale-up journey by turning high-level ideas into iterative, pragmatic designs.

Requirements

• Deep software engineering foundation with expertise in embeddings, RAG, and retrieval.
• Battle-tested experience in startup scale-up environments (1 to 10 journey).
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and write PRDs.
• Expert communication skills to explain complex technical trade-offs to both junior engineers and executives.
• Must be based in New York, NY or be a candidate in the U.S. eligible for active visa transfer.
