What you will do

• Hunt down and resolve inefficiencies across the Codex system stack, from agent behavior to LLM inference and container orchestration.
• Build tooling to measure, profile, and optimize system performance at scale.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to land high-ROI changes that improve latency and cost.
• Manage whole-system optimization across complex, evolving infrastructure and product layers.

Requirements

• Experience operating across both ML systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to navigate messy, ambiguous problems and drive them to clear resolution.
• Holistic approach to performance, balancing speed, cost, and user experience.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
