What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and execution for the CK AI Service, including the design and governance of RAG workflows.
• Mentor and manage six direct reports, focusing on performance, career development, and team health.
• Design and deliver scalable distributed systems, microservices architectures, and AI-powered APIs.
• Collaborate with the Data Science team to drive the product roadmap and feature design.
• Improve delivery velocity, reduce bottlenecks, and eliminate single points of failure.

Requirements

• Proven track record of mentoring engineering teams and reducing knowledge silos.
• Deep expertise in designing distributed systems and APIs at scale.
• Hands-on experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
• Strong understanding of LLM integration, orchestration, embeddings, and vector search.
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability.
• Must be based in the US (Philadelphia, PA, NJ, or DE)
