Sr Physician Referral Services Representative

Salary: $24.00–$42.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support daily operations of the Physician/Patient Referral Office using referral phone lines, pager, and electronic referral submissions.
• Coordinate referral communications with patients, families, referring physicians, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate patient and referral information in departmental databases and systems.
• Facilitate the timely exchange of clinical information between external providers and internal clinical teams.
• Resolve complex questions and concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Prioritize competing requests and identify opportunities to improve referral processes and service delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience, or 2 years with a bachelor's degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, judgment, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
• Experience interacting with patients and/or physicians preferred.
• Experience with relational databases, database structures, or data management methodologies preferred.
• Licensure, registration, or certification is not required.
