Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $89,000–$101,100 per year

What you will do

  • Manage complex research funding portfolios for multiple laboratories, including federal, industry, foundation, donor, institutional, chargeback, and clinical trial funds.
  • Coordinate sponsored research applications, including eligibility reviews, proposal materials, deadlines, institutional review, submissions, and just-in-time responses.
  • Manage post-award finances, prepare sponsor reports and projections, monitor spending, and ensure compliance with sponsor and institute requirements.
  • Support procurement, billing, receivables, pricing, and revenue management for cores, centers, chargebacks, and clinical trials.
  • Support researcher onboarding, salary allocations, promotions, visa application processing, and offboarding activities.
  • Advise faculty and researchers on compliance, grants policies, time and effort reporting, agreements, and complex operational issues.

Requirements

  • Five years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Advanced budgeting, financial analysis, projections, and grant data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of NIH and other federal, state, and foundation regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Expert computer literacy, with Excel or Google Sheets expertise preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and project leadership skills.
