Lead Financial Analyst (Workday Adaptive Planning)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid workplace.

Salary: $104,000–$145,333 per year.

What you will do

• Administer Workday Adaptive Planning and complete the paused system implementation.
• Manage system security, permissions, version controls, workflows, and integrations with Workday HCM/Financials or ERP systems.
• Design and maintain modeled sheets, cube sheets, formulas, assumptions, dashboards, OfficeConnect templates, and Adaptive reports.
• Lead the institutional annual budget process and quarterly rolling forecasts with scientific and administrative leaders.
• Build multi-year financial models covering federal and NIH grants, sponsored research, foundational funding, and philanthropic revenue.
• Perform variance and scenario analysis and present actionable insights to senior leadership and board committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 7 years of progressive FP&A experience.
• At least 2 years as a hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning administrator or lead developer.
• Mastery of Modeled Sheets, Cube Sheets, Master Formulas, OfficeConnect, and Integration Tasks.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grant accounting, direct and indirect costs, multi-fund accounting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong written and verbal communication skills; the Broad will not provide sponsorship for this opportunity.

Nice to have

• MBA or MS in Finance or Data Analytics.
• Experience in academic medicine, life sciences, biotechnology, or nonprofit research institutes.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
