Inventory Planning Specialist (Supply Chain)

Location: In office in Portland, Oregon, United States; ability to travel 15% required. Verification of legal right to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $65,000–$82,300 annual salary, depending on experience

What you will do

• Create and execute buy plans for corrective materials and maintain optimized inventory levels across the fleet.
• Issue, maintain, and close purchase orders while monitoring confirmations, delivery dates, and ERP data accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers, wind parks, internal customers, and regional distribution centers to prevent shortages and resolve delivery or shipping issues.
• Expedite purchase orders, resolve supplier invoice issues, and process returns.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and support improvement activities, audits, cost-saving initiatives, and technology deployments.
• Prepare ad hoc inventory reports and document best practices and work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory planning or purchasing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams and managing multiple time-sensitive priorities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in the United States and travel 15%.

• APICS certification.
• Experience with wind plant construction, operations, and maintenance.
