DevSecOps Engineer (Azure)

Salary: $85,897–$108,803 in Akron; $90,669–$114,848 in Columbus or Dayton

What you will do

• Develop infrastructure standards, governance policies, naming conventions, tagging strategies, and environment management practices.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, environment provisioning, approval gates, rollback strategies, and release procedures.
• Design and manage Azure networking, including virtual networks, private endpoints, VPN connectivity, DNS, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Manage Azure RBAC, managed identities, service principals, privileged access, and least-privilege security models.
• Implement application security controls, SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, code quality checks, and vulnerability management processes.
• Support perimeter security, monitoring, logging, observability, high availability, backup, geo-replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Azure administration, cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, WAF, Azure Bastion, Azure VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
• Experience securing modern application architectures, including React, Node, .NET, Power Platform, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and APIs.
• Experience managing multi-environment deployments, automated provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, cloud security, identity management, RBAC, secrets management, source control, and application lifecycle management.

Nice to have

• Azure, cybersecurity, or related industry certifications.
• Experience with Azure Sentinel, SIEM solutions, security monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience supporting AI, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or cloud-based AI application environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep, Terraform, ARM Templates, or Pulumi.
