Salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year

What you will do

  • Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand to suppliers.
  • Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
  • Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization transition plans.
  • Coordinate sourcing, supplier selection, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Manage materials change control, cost objectives, landed-cost targets, and key process indicators.
  • Partner with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues and address critical or long-lead parts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized materials or supply chain discipline.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend improved practices.
  • Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate resources, risk, or complexity.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, communication, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California; relocation is not eligible.
  • Travel is required approximately 20% of the time.
