Salary: $185,000–$200,000 annually

Company

hirify.global develops modular satellite infrastructure for space-based solar energy, orbital high-performance computing, and secure optical data transport.

What you will do

  • Lead radiation effects analysis and resilience strategies for orbital compute systems.
  • Analyze radiation effects on GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, networking ASICs, memory systems, and power electronics.
  • Define mitigation and fault-tolerance strategies including ECC, redundancy, fault detection, recovery, and software-defined resilience.
  • Plan and execute radiation characterization campaigns with external laboratories and test facilities.
  • Analyze test results, calculate reliability metrics, and develop radiation hardness assurance methodologies.
  • Collaborate on shielding, component selection, platform architecture, anomaly investigations, and deployment readiness reviews.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in radiation effects analysis, radiation testing, or space systems reliability engineering.
  • Deep understanding of radiation interactions with semiconductor devices and electronic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Total Ionizing Dose, Single Event Effects, and Displacement Damage.
  • Experience planning and executing radiation characterization campaigns with external test facilities.
  • Experience with high-performance computing hardware, semiconductor devices, or spaceborne electronics.
  • Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with architectural fault tolerance and resilient distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of NASA, ESA, ECSS, or MIL-STD radiation qualification standards.
  • Experience with shielding optimization, radiation simulations, or material characterization.

Culture & Benefits

  • High autonomy and ownership of critical spacecraft hardware systems.
  • Fast iteration from design to hardware testing with close cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Equity in hirify.global.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
  • 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, relocation assistance, and daily office lunch.
