Staff RF Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $158,000–$189,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and implement engineering test plans and procedures for RF systems.
• Develop test requirements, reusable test architectures, procedures, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Perform conducted RF measurements and interpret results for engineering stakeholders.
• Architect RF test systems and contribute to design-for-test planning and reviews.
• Manage laboratory equipment and guide equipment purchasing decisions.
• Present engineering design reviews to customers and executives and contribute to proposal writing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• At least 8 years of industry or university research experience designing, analyzing, and implementing RF test systems.
• High proficiency in RF measurements, including linearity, noise spectral density, and EVM.
• Experience designing test architectures with scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, source measurement units, RF generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with phased-array over-the-air testing, including calibration, EIRP, G/T, axial ratio, scan loss, and pattern cuts.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
• Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware such as amplifiers, filters, ADCs, DACs, and antennas.
