Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. The role is associated with a Washington State location and includes 0–10% travel.

Salary: $173,579–$231,439 annually. The range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Prepare technical accounting memos and white papers and provide guidance on proposed transactions under U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Advise the organization and Controller’s team on complex accounting matters, policies, and training.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, disclosures, reporting packages, and SEC filings.
• Research U.S. GAAP and regulatory developments and document significant accounting conclusions.
• Coordinate with Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Drive accounting process improvements, automation, SOX readiness, due diligence, and other special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or public company experience.
• Experience with complex consolidations, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, disclosures, MD&A, and SEC filings.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including ASC 730, ASC 360, ASC 606, and ASC 842.
• Experience with ERP systems and the ability to collaborate across functions, communicate complex accounting matters, and manage multiple priorities.
