Field Service Engineer - Chromatography

Location: US-CA-Remote Location-Bay Area; territory: Northern California (Bay Area). The role requires daily travel to customer laboratories and up to 75% travel.

Salary: $51.74–$80.84 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install and optimize hardware, software, networking products, configurations, and multi-vendor systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems involving chromatography and related laboratory solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and proactive equipment troubleshooting.
• Advise customers on maintenance and configurations that affect product performance and business continuity.
• Deliver integrated solutions involving peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
• Train other field engineers and customers on implemented solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or another university degree, ideally in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a similar science field; equivalent training, education, and direct experience may be considered.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position and/or experience as an end user of analytical equipment.
• Experience or expertise with chromatography, including LC, GC, and MS.
• Experience troubleshooting and solving problems in complex customer-facing environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, willingness to travel extensively, and ability to work with a broad range of clients.
• Valid driver’s license required; customer or vendor credentialing and screening may be required for site access.
